What Is The Purpose Of

SAPEN

The South Asian Association of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SAPEN), a newly established organization dedicated to advancing the field of clinical nutrition, dietetics and metabolic support within the South Asian region. Our mission is to promote best practices, education, and research in clinical nutrition and dietetics to improve patient outcomes across South Asia including Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. By working together, we can leverage the SAARC region’s rich diversity and collective expertise to enhance nutritional care to improve patients’ outcome by adopting global guidelines.

South Asian Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Congress (SAPEN-CON 2025)

The South Asian Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Congress (SAPEN-CON 2025) was successfully organized in association with IAPEN India – Delhi Chapter, bringing together clinicians, nutrition physicians, dietitians, intensivists, surgeons, and researchers from across South Asia. The summit served as a dynamic platform to discuss evidence-based practices, innovations, and regional challenges in parenteral and enteral nutrition. Scientific sessions highlighted advances in clinical nutrition support, critical care nutrition, metabolic management, and multidisciplinary collaboration, with a strong focus on translating global guidelines into South Asian healthcare settings. SAPEN-CON 2025 fostered meaningful academic exchange, professional networking, and capacity building, reinforcing SAPEN’s commitment to advancing safe, effective, and patient-centered nutrition therapy in the region.
